Why the heck would one shake a beer!?

There are a few barbarians about that would shake a beer just to get a fountain to spray someone.

Talk about alcohol abuse...

Just leaving it alone a few moments is usually enough to let the gas/liquid settle. Tapping may also dislodge any pressure pockets of gas from the side or bottom of the can, at whatever nucleation sites at which they formed.

What a waste of beer! Although if you're using Bavaria or something dodgy like that, go ahead, it'd be a better use for it than drinking it

I still can't figure out why people chill beer.
