Although I love all kinds of dogs, my favorite is without a doubt my royal standard poodle named Ralph. Oh, and if anyone thinks that poodles aren't a manly dog, he weighs 89 lbs and measures 30" at the shoulder.

I have got two dogs so it probably wouldn't be fair to play favourites, i have a golden labrador and a german shepherd crsoo alaskan malamute.

The malamute is a great protector and guard dog, whereas the lab is fun to have around and watch her antics.

For instance the malamute loves to chase a ball and will drop it at your feet when she brings it back, the lab will just wait till the malamute drops the ball pick it up and run off encouaraging the malamute to chase her.

Both are fiercely loyal, obediant and protective of us and each other.

My yellow Labrador Retreiver was just about the best dog you could imagine. Not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but just a good, good, dog. And the abuse he took from my daughter when she was a toddler, he just soaked it up like it was the greatest treat to have his ears pulled and his tail stepped on.

same here cfmi11er,
The only time our lab has even raised a whimper of complaint, was when our malamute was being punished, even the she wouldn't raise an attack towards us.

I have had many different breeds over the years. And in all honesty the best dog I have ever owned is the one I have right now.

I am not sure of what breeds make up this mutt. Best guess, he is a Lab Dobe mix. He weighs about 95 pounds, and stands about 35" at the whithers.

Six months old.

At the beach.

Ready for a run.

I have 2 white American Eskimo Spitz.

One is a Sptiz/Elk Hound mix ... I found her at the SPCA.
Anybody looking for a good dog should try there first ... plenty of good dogs (and cats) that really need your help.

The pure Spitz is very smart and a good gaurd dog ... the other has a big, lovable, wouldn't hurt anybody, Scooby Doo type personality

I almost got a Hybird wolf, even tho they are really purebred, they are very protective, but I got mine taken away becuase it's prey instintes kicked in when it saw alittle boy running. He didn't kill it, he just pinned him down.

I like mutts, but of the purebreeds I like Beagles the best. Especially rescued ones. Ask me about "The Revenge Of The Radioactive Beagles" sometime...

cfmiller, the Revenge of the Radioactive Beagles:

Local news reported that the site was going to be built upon, but records and waste surfaced which resulted in a multi million dollar cleanup. They used beagles becuase they are fairly large but very eager to please and friendly.
