Both companies make a variety of models for different purposes...
Historically, Ferrari has made what amounted to just-street-legal race cars. There was little in the way of comfort or amenities, just handling and performance. Now of course, they have gone the "grand touring" route, the luxury sports car.
Porsche has mostly produced high-quality roadsters that also handled and performed very well. Porsche has been know for making cars you could take off the showroom floor and race, yet still had some creature comforts.
You pays your money and you takes your choice...

Well I drive my Ferrari when I'm in a hurry and the Porsche mainly on short road trips. So I guess it is all about the right car for the right situation. The Range Rover is the grocery getter by the way. :P

Personally I would chose an Audi, but Ferrari is the way to go between Ferrari and a Porsche. You get speed and comfortability if custom. However, porsche comfortable, butn not as fast.

Hmm Porsche and Ferrari. I would go for the Ferrari cause I don't know when people see Ferrari's they go, WOW amazing it's a Ferrari but when they see a Porsche they go Wow it's a Porsche. See Ferrari they notice you more like when I saw a 911 the other day I was amazed but if I saw a Ferrari it would stick out of the crowd more cause behind every awesome supercar there is a 10 year old boy Ferrari has that, so do Porsche but Ferrari let him loose more and they look crazy and fast. So I would go Ferrari.

Ferrari or Porsche? Kind of like the eternal "Mary Ann or Ginger" question, isn't it?

Neither. Gimme a 2005 Pontiac GTO 6-liter.
Proper handling? Screw that, I LIKE going sideways.

What about a Lamborghini sport cars ?
Those are quite the exotic luxury cars that it would be great to have, to see what that car is made up too. How fast it runs but of course being careful not to get a speeding ticket, with a cop full of envy because I'm driving that car.

Way back in the 70s, I went to a local auto show with a buddy who was into building hot rods.
On the floor was a Lamborghini, I think it was an Espada. 12 cylinder engine. THREE four-barrel carburetors. (1970s, remember...) One "barrel" per cylinder... The most complicated system of linkages I've ever seen. I imagine you would spend just about as much time tuning one of these things as you would driving it.
There's a funny movie from back then starring Walter Matthau called "The New Leaf". He's a rich playboy. The opening scene has him standing in what appears to be a hospital, staring through a glass window at a bunch of white-coated individuals who look like they're performing an operation. Finally, one comes out of the room and removes his mask. In a serious voice, he says, "It's carbon on the valves, sir. You must keep the RPM above 3000..." They were working on his Ferrari.

Isn't there a scene in 'The New Leaf' where Walter Matthau is listing his assets and he reluctantly admits his Ferrari (375GTB?) is worth "at least $15,000!"
At least!

I would take a Bugatti Veyron. It is a 1001 hp monster that can top out at 253 mph. It would beat anything on the road...if only I had one and a half million to spare.

Wait...so you DON'T have one of each? I'm so disillusioned... Mythreviewer, look up the definition of "hyperbole".
