And how do I get into it?

I spent 5 years in the Marine Corps as a Meteorological Electronics Tech, working on RADAR, satellite receivers, and local/remote weather sensors. I would love to get into a field like this where I can apply the skills I've learned, but I have no idea where to get started.

Does anybody have any ideas?
