i have a 7 month Aussie Collie mix. She's really sweet and playful and besidesthe playfullness hasnt really shown any aggression. But, yesterday i was walking her and i saw some of my friends on bikes. she doesnt freak out about bikes and she even knew these people but out of no where she bit my friend. she even drew blood... it was weird because the person she bit was just standing there...
Do you have any ides as to why she did this?!

thanx

A lot of herding breeds will try to round up people or other animals and herd them like they would sheep. Sometimes they'll do this by nipping. Perhaps she was just trying to herd your friend? I've never heard of a dog just biting someone out of nowhere with no provocation or warnings or anything though. Are you sure nothing triggered the bite?
