Casey and Carley. My future dog (probably a beagle) will be named Hank.

How about names you wish you named your dogs?
Carley's registration name should have been- _ Mark My Words, aka Markie or something like that, because my mom promised me a dog when I turned thirteen when I was little (probably around four) and I still remembered it and got Carley when I turned thirteen. lol. She also almost got named Cooper (pooper, because she went all over my dad when he first held her at two weeks), Chevy, or Piper. No clue why I chose Carley though, I've never been big on the name. lol.
Casey almost got named Norma, from the book Norma Jeans Jumping Bean. Or Millie. Actually when we got her my dad said to get her we had to promise to name her Joe, as a joke.

Now that's actually a good question. My 1st dog. I hated his name when I was little cause he was my dog and I didn't get to name him. My mom named him Ralph. But the name did grow on me, and I couldn't picture another name on that dog. The 2 I have now, both names fit to a tee. But the one wound up with a different name than I intended because it didn't fit him. I bet that's why you named yours Carley. It just fit. Smile

When we rescued my Akita, her name was Sushi. (Being a Japanese breed, they tried to keep her name authentic!) We quickly changed it to Venus (Greek goddess of love and beauty.)

I have been wanting to name a dog Vixen. I'm not sure why my husband is so against it. I've tried it with two dogs and he won't go for it!

Siberian Husky – Ivan
Boarder Collie – Paci
Previous dogs – Cokey, Penny, Peewee, Conney, Shorty, Aida, and Duke (my first dog)

I like to keep my dogs’ names two syllables with a long vowel sound and hard consonant to help them hear their name.
