PLEASE>>>>Help me! I have a 3 year old yorkie and he has been housetrained and neutered, but he constantly want to to hike his leg and pee in the house. UGH!!!! I took him to the vet and he does not have a bladder problem. The vet says he needs obedience training, but my little Moose can sit stay and everything else that an obedience traning class would teach. Anyone have any suggestions!!!! Please help. We have tried to go back and retrain him, but he is fine with going to the bathroom outside, I would say that he hikes his leg in the house about 3 times a week. I love him and know if we can't get this under control...I don't even want to think about that. So please any help you can give me is great. Thanks ahead of time. Big Grin

When did this happen? He's been house trained before and this just suddenly turned up? Has anything changed in his life recently, new dog or house? Is he a new dog or have you had him for a while? Did you at some point stop praising him for going potty outside? Whenever you catch him going potty outside praise him like crazy, training never stops for a dog.

Continue with house training. If he's still trying to go in the house, then he's not house trained. Keep him on a leash and by you constantly. If he pees anywhere, clean it up and use some odor remover. Keep a schedule. Also, keep check of how much water he drinks daily. Walks are a big help with house training.

he could also have a medical reason which would be the most normal cause for sudden using of the bathroom in the house and needs to be taken to the vet.
