I know, but when I explain the breed, I say them seperately b/c some AmStaffs look leaner/taller than some APBT. Don't worry though, I know that they are the same. lol :-) Wink

Does she chew them up in front of you, or wait until you're not paying attention?

I've had Danes with Separation Anxiety that shredded anything from toys to couches.

I still haven't had a single tear on my Tuffy's and my Pittie plays with hers all the time.

I hope I can get lucky and find them at that price again!

In front of us. We haven't had her alone here b/c this current trailer is too small for a cage and she does suffer from seperation anxiety. But we put the toys up when we thinks she's played enough.

You might want to think about toys that keep the mind working, too. Mental stimulation will tire out a dog, almost as quick as a good run or jog if you're short on time. We have a Buster Cube on hand (it was my oldest Dane's first birthday present from a friend and it's worked miracles). It looks like a dice and you put treats in it. They have to smack it around and they fall out if they do it right. PLEASE TEACH YOUR DOG HOW TO USE IT, though. If you don't, they will attempt to destroy it by crushing it in their jaws or they may get clever like my Dane did. He picked it up, carried it to the top of the stairs, and threw it down to smash it against the wall.

Trust me, I'd love too. Earlier in my post I asked about toys to keep her stimulated and everyone got mad that I wasn't listening to them or that I was ignoring posts.

Thanks, I'll try it.

Just so you know, a Buster Cube isn't cheap. It runs around $20. Possibly more, now. My friend purchased it almost three years ago.

Egg babies are also a good way to go.

Hi, I have a 2yr old pit that DESTROYS most anything. The KONG brand has worked wonders or any of the other tough rubber toys for large dogs. I have spent tons of money on those cute fuzzy toys, only to watch them turned to stuffing in minutes. There's also something called the 'almost indestructible ball' that I believe they have at Petsmart.

Kong stuffed with peanut butter. I have the heavy duty black ones for my Dane and shepherd, and the light blue puppy kong for my pit pup. Peanut butter makes the best stuffing IMHO.

Egg babies are a doggy "educational" toy. It's usually a stuffed "host" or "mother"... like a platypus, dinosaur, or tree trunk... and it carries eggs or little things... like the tree trunk has bees or chipmunks or birds. The dog has to figure out how to get them out.
