My dog won't let me clip his nails and they need it so bad I don't have the money to take him to the vet and he ususally requires a mild seditive to calm him what can I do at home to relax him enough to do it my self he is about 55-60 pounds.

Well, my dog is about 99 pounds and hes the same way. I suggest talking to your dog in a soothing voice, givving him treats, and petting him. Also, have a friend or someone hold him down. Prefferably on a couch.

This worked with my dogs. Every time we had to trim their nails we would put and little bit of peanut butter on a spoon and they would be to busy licking that to notice the nail clippers at work. It worked with all four of them lol. Hope this helps.
