Hey everyone,

I know that I shouldn't expect alot out of my puppy in the first few weeks, but I really wasn't expecting her to be such a brat. She thinks it is so funny to do, but it really does hurt. Yelping like a puppy doesn't work, pushing her off doesn't work, telling her no doesn't work, deverting her attention to a toy doesn't work. What should I do? How can I get her to see this is an unexceptable behavior? I have lots of chew toys and I even bought a cat toy, which I thought would help devert her herding instinct.
I was also wondering, what time you feed your puppy, or what time you feed your dog. I always make sure I have a bowl of cereal or something before I feed my puppy, which was taught in the loved dog method.
She seems to be having alot of accidents. She understands go potty, but she doesn't understand that she should be going outside.
My mother complains that she smells bad and I bought this stuff to deoderize her. Now she smells horrible, I thought she smelt fine before, do you have any suggestions on what to use as a deoderizing product?

P.S. Sorry about all the questions. I thought training her would be so easy. I was definetly wrong about that. Oh yes she is a pembroke welsh corgi. If you don't like me or have anything nasty to say to me please don't. This post is for a few questions. Just please answer them.

first of all, i don't know why people wouldn't like u, whats wrong with asking questions? nothing. how old is she? u should feed her depending on her age. in the first paragraph, where u said u tried distracting her, from something that was bratty, i didn't understand what that was. products that clean messes usually deodorize them too. as for ur dog, i use baby powder on my dog, i just brush it in his coat, and he smells fine! also see if u can maybe check out ur library to get some books on training, thats what i did, and still do, it really helps.

The key to taining is consistancy and patience. Every single time she bites tell her no in a tone that lets her know that you mean business. As far as potty training a puppy...take them out often. They have small bladders so they need to go a lot. Make sure that you give her a lot of positive feedback when she does go outside. Take a treat with you outside and give it to her immediately after she does her "business." If you wait until you get inside she will have forgotten what she did to deserve the treat. Kennel training works really well and there is a lot of informtion on-line about how to kennel train puppies.

I do not use deodorizer on my dog. I bath her about every three weeks and she stays pretty clean. Try not to bath too often because it can dry out their skin. If Chloe gets stinky before her bath time I just rinse her off. Be careful with the deodorizer though. I took my dog to have her nails clipped once and they put some type of perfume on her. She was itchy for a week after that.

Kennel training is the number one best way to help a puppy know where their safe place is and to help them learn bladder control. When you are not there to watch her every move, she should be in her kennel with a toy. You will find that she will soon learn not to soil her bed, and when taken outside immediately and directly from her kennel, she will learn very quickly that when she eliminates outside and hears your praise - that is what pleases you. You will also find in time, that having kennel trained her gives you both a time out that is safe for her and a break for you when you need to be away from her side. If she knips at you, yelp as "OUCH" and end the play time. She will learn very quickly that she shouldn't do that or she won't get your attention. I have a 120 lb. Bloodhound and a Rescue - ferrell bloodhound, and this has worked for us. Best Wishes
