Hi,

Many have said that my pet is handsome and really that attactive. But once he is being introduced to female (that are in heat), he would ignore them and look the other way. Is this normal? Whenever we take him for a walk, he also ignore other dogs. He does not play with other dogs but he is friendly with people specially with kids. But its different when we are at home, he barks at people/strangers (territorial issue, I guess). By the way my pet is a mixed matlese and shi tzu.

Thank you.

Hi badkittyamy,

Actualy the female owners are the ones who want my pet to breed with theirs. I really wonder why my dog does not like or should I say not attracted to them. Jsut wanted to know if this is normal. My pet will be 3 years old this
September 11.

Thanks,

A-ji

It's totally normal. I'm not too crazy about people and your dog is not to crazy about other dogs. As long as there is no aggression issues, it's fine. But if you want your dog to get along with other dogs, a female in heat is NOT the way to go. Especially if the owners want to breed their mutts!

My pet is more on territorial, he is quite aggressive at home. But outside his territory its different, whenever I will take him to be groomed he is simply quite even if the other dogs barks at him. He would simply ignore them. Not sure if he has a good self esteem or being snub is one of his charater. Cool

I'd really consider getting SNUBS fixed. There are already enough mutts in the worlds (as well as purebreds) without homes.

Your friend who wants to breed with Snubs is completely daft for wanting to do so.

(I'm not being mean. I'm just passionate about this.)

You seem like a nice enough person and I hope this doesn't offend you.

Forgot to thank talltail. Thank you for your reply, highyll appreciated.

Hi Canterbury_Tails,

My pet's name is Sam. He is literally snubs other dogs. And according to talltail its totally normal for a pet not to like or not be attracted to other dogs. And yours trully is not offended by your comment. And its amust to be responsible as a pet owner. I don't want my pet to end up in a home/shelter. I appreciate all the reply I get. As mentioned in my previous post, I'm not quite sure why he snubs other dogs or is it because he has a good self esteem. Wink
