I just came home to find my pom sick, sick doesnt want to drink or eat and is just laying down unless you get her to play. But once she sits she lays down and her head just goes down but you can see her fight it but she just gives in and lays down. What's wrong with my puppy? Her poop was hard and looked normal so i dont think its parvo.

Please take her to the vet asap... it could be several things, and its best to have her looked at by a vet in person.

I agree, the symptoms are vauge, and when a puppy gets sick, a puppy can die very quickly. To be safe, just go to a vet as soon as possible.

PLEASE take your dog to the vets ASAP!!! It could be a number of things..but even if it isn't, it's better to be safe than sorry! Just call your local vet and talk to them on the phone. Tell them what you told the posters here and they can tell you what to do. Smile

If your dog does'nt eat or drink for even a few days, take him to the vet. A dog should at least be drinking normally everyday. If he misses a meal for one day don't be alarmed, but if he continues to have a loss of appetite then see the vet.

Since you say he was "prancing around, then hardly could walk", he could have injured himself. He could have sprained a ligament or muscle. A dog does'nt always cry in pain when he's been injured.

It could also be "hip displasia", which can be painful.

He's kind of young for arthritis, but it still is possible at that age.

You say he's really hurt, so whatever the problem is, he needs to see a vet soon. Make an appointment so it can be treated. Don't delay because he could have injured his spine.
