I have 2 small dogs. One I have had for 2 1/2 yrs, the other I have had for 2 yrs. They are housebroken and I have had no issues at with this until just recently. The last few weeks I am finding that one of them is making a pee pee in the kitchen. I don't understand. I let them out before I go to bed at night and again as soon as I get up in the morning (4am). I have even tried taking the water away at around 630PM to try and stop it. No luck. There is nothing different thats going on that would stress them. The only thing I can think of is to cage them overnight which I hate to do after all this time. Any suggestions or something I may be over looking?
Thanks in advance.

They have no problem holding it during the day so I think we can eliminate the bladder problem theory. Like I said I have taken the water away at 630pm with no effect.

Well maybe you can buy a pad for them and if that don't work just work with them so more on training them to pee on the pad.

Your dog may have a bladder/urinary tract infection and that is what is causing him to have these sudden accidents.

Take your dog to a vet and make sure medical problems aren't the cause first.

When potty trained animals start having accidents in the house, it's almost always medical related.

I would suggest a THOROUGH check-up at the vet. As thorough as you can afford.

First let me say that I have taken care of a dog that had chronic UTI's. There are no symptoms of this. He only had this issue at night, and it wasnt every night. This being said, I took my dog anyway to the vet and he has ruled out any physical problems. That leaves only one other thing t could be. It's behavioral.
