And we pull up for a morning appointment and I'll admit I was half asleep and at first didn't understand what i was looking at. And then it hit me and my eyes flew open and quickly narrowed to get a better look.
To women were standing there smoking, which I have no problem with. They were chattering very loudly to were I could hear their conversation from inside my truck with the windows up, so I'm sure they were VERY loud to... the tiny bundle in the one woman's arm.
In this woman's arm was a TINY puppy. I mean I could tell from where I was sitting the poor thing was barely a few weeks old. It looked like it had just recently opened it's eyes. These two woman were holding the puppy to their faces with cigarettes in their mouths!!! They were inadervently blowing smoke right in this tiiiny puppy's face!!!
I'm very sure the pupy was too young to of had any ssafety shots for even being too close to someone's face in the first place, but they were blowing smoke in it's face!
I then noticed the woman holding the puppy pass it to yet another woman who strolled by. The first woman left. It wasn't even her puppy! This poor little puppy passed hands 3 times before being handed to the second woman who had been standing there originally who then got in a van and left!
I was so stunned I couldn't even think straight. I couldn't figure out who was the owner and by time I did it was too late to chew her tail.
Hmmmm.... got me there... yeah that was stupid wasn't it. Sorry, I woke up not too long ago and it takes a little while for me to fully wake up, so I say garbled things sometimes until I have a cup of coffee or something.
I took it as to mean go back to the mom and littermates and confiscate them.
I don't know the full story on the poor pup, the woman who got in the vane probably owned the mother and just wanted to bring a pup out to show. Way too early before it should be out.
God I wanted to just walk over there, pick up the pup and drive away without a word.
GRR! If I had been there I'd have... OK, I'm not quite sure what I'd do, but I would so want to grab that puppy and find somebody who had a dog with a litter and let them nurse it!
Well actually, I know what I'd do- I'd call the ASPCA!
I really don't understand some people nowadays anymore. Why bring out a baby puppy at 6am smoking a dead gum cigerette in it's face?!?! That's like second-hand smoke..it makes absolutely NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!!!! Smoking really affects me too-both my parents smoke and everytime I go somewhere, I smell it on myself. Mom used to smoke in my room when I was at college and I HATED HER FOR DOING IT!!!!! But second-hand smoke kills puppies like it kills people. I couldn't breathe outside earlier cause someone blew some smoke in my face. I had to come back inside to the office for a while!!!!! Poor puppy!!!! I would have tried yanking that little thing out of that woman's arms and saying something like: WHO ARE U TO BE SMOKING AROUND A BABY PUPPY?! THE NERVE!!!!
