I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE THINK PITS ARE EVIL. IT MAKES ME SICK ITS THE WAY YOU TRAIN THEM YOU WILL NEVER NOW HOW NICE THEY ARE UNLESS YOU GO GET ONE.I HAVE A 1YR OLD COUSIN AND A 6YR OLD COUSIN AND EVERY ONE IN MY FAMILY SAY SHE IS SO SWEET. I HAVE 2 SAY SOME OF THEM ARE MAEN BUT ITS BECASE MEAN PEOPLE.MOST PEOPLE ABUSE,HIT SLAP,CUT AND DO BAD THINGS 2 THE PIT BULLS BUT MINE IS ONLY 9MONTH AND SWEET AS SHE CAN BE BUT I ADOPTED HER AT PETS MART AND SHE WAS ABUSED BUT SHE TRUST MY BROTHER AND I AND WE HAVE NOT GOT BIT AT YET AND NOT GOING 2 I HAVE TRAIN OVER 30 DOGS AND NOT SCARED . there are a million topics on this already and i pretty much think everyone here agrees you're preaching to the choir.

I know it's an old subject but just thought I'd share with you the fact that here in Ireland a local council has banned its tennants from owning pitbulls, GSD, akitas, dobermans, rothweilers and a couple more I can't think of. There is already a law stating these breeds must be muzzled in public parks but the rumour is that even if you are not a tennant, you will not be able to even walk these breeds in public parks... There is already a barring order being put in place where if you are a tennant of the council (ie social housing) you must give up your dog...scarey eh and a bit overbouard? Apparantly it's a method to remove these breeds from those people who use them as a weapon or a 'tough guy' status symbol. Imagine owning one of these dogs and being totally innocent...There is a big drive now amongst dog owners,the public, the spca, and the IKC to have the ban lifted......and vets are refusing to assist with putting these dogs down.....

i think its very important 4 people 2 know that pit are not evil

People have opinions and the media feeds one opinion- that pits are mean. Sure it's not always true, but it has been and that's what people believe. Pit bulls are very strong dogs and if they don't have the right owner, then there may be consequences- just like with any other dog.
Honestly, almost everyone on this forum likes pit bulls and hates breed bans.

And BTW, how have you trained over thirty dogs when you're thirteen? What were they trained for?
