Our shar-pei/pit bull mix is a good watch dog and we love her very much but she continues to bark even after repeated corrections to stop if she hears a person or animal approach our house. She is 7 years old and we have little hope we can train her to stop this behavior. Any ideas about how to stop this behavior in it's tracks?

well, seven years is a LONGGGGG time in dog years. try to find something to distract her like her favorite chew toy, a dog whistle, or a blow horn. If she doesn't listen you have to put on force. Look her straight in the eye and say bad dog. I really hopes this helps!
