I did animal rescue!!! and I just adopted 11 older cats from my shelter so they wouldnt be put down, and I took in a stray persian, and I'm taking a yr. old mommy cat and her 3- 2day old babies that were supposed to be put to sleep becuase they were too young.

You can volunteer at your local animal shelter. I have recently been a foster parent for kittens for our Humane Society. You take care of the kittens until they are old enough to be adopted.

Worked an animal hospital for a few years as a kennel worker... helped deliver daschund puppies on an emergency case on the weekend, also comforted many a sick animal.

I help out at my local shelter every weekend I can, I walk dogs, play with puppies, help people pick a dog for them, and help them fill out the right adoption papers. I also give 100 dollars out of every months pay check to the shelter. All my furry friends are from the shelters.((well all but Jarrek who I found when he got thrown out of a car window by his previous owners)) that's what I do to help. But one of the BEST things you can do is give a shelter animal a loveing careing home
