i can't decide!i already hav a German Shorthiared Pointer named Sally! i have narrowed it down to 5 of my fav dogs! if u hav any i hav NEVER heard of, PLEASE SHARE!! (but that might be a 1st! i heard of almost every breed in the dog books... and more!)

Question:
WHAT BREED!!!!???!!!??

Choices:
ANOTHER German Shorthaired Pointer! (also called GSP!)
Standard Poodle!
Golden-Doodle! (Golden Retriver+Poodle)
German WIREHAIRED Pointer (similar 2 GSP!)
English Pointer! (similar to GSPs 2!)

I vote none of the above.

You have two purebred of your favorites; now go and rescue a shelter dog and give it a good loving home.

1, i need a puppy because we want to get a playmate 4 our puppy. 2, the nearest shelter to me is in Salt Lake City (50 miles away from me) 3, tons of other reasons, including ALLERGIC 2 some dog breeds!!

Its kind of hard for people to give advice on what breed to get that will get along with your dog since dogs are very individual in personality even within the same breed

I know you meant breed. But that is what Im saying is in terms of compatibility its difficult because dogs vary even with in the breed.

Whatever breed you end up with just remember it sometimes takes awhile for them to get along. I had a female GSD Collie mix for four years before we found our male GSP/Terrier mix puppy. It took them almost a year to get along

Good luck

I knew a guy who had two standard poodles and they were loyal. He even plays soccer with them. And I am not a poodle person what so ever.

Golden Doodle is not a breed.

Go to a shelter and look for dogs that already need a home, instead of supporting the birth of more dogs that will just end up homeless as well.

I highly doubt the closest shelter to you is 50 miles away. That's a really bad excuse for not looking at shelter dogs. 30% of dogs in shelters are purebred. At the shelters where I live, GSP, Labs, Spaniels etc are in abundance because I live in an area where hunting is very popular.

No they are not.

Is google a breed registry? No.
Is your aunt a breed registry? No.

Show me their breed standard and what actual and noteable organization recognizes them as a breed, and then maybe we can talk about their status as being a legitimate breed and not a mutt.

PLEASE ADOPT FROM A SHELTER. There are many puppies there who need a home desperatly. I actually have an orgainization called 2nd Chance in my area to show people what a great thing they would be doing if they adopt from a shleter and some statistics of the number of animals euthanized EVERY DAY Please, please please just check it out. Who knows, it just might be worth your while!

I think you should even have a look on the dogs in closest shelter, it wouldn't do any harm. You may find the perfect and most loving pet from there, who really needs you. Cross-breeds make as great pets as pure-breeds. I would like to get a dog from shelter, but we already have two dogs so it's not possible right now. A shelterdog needs a fresh start and a new chance to get a life suitable for dog. So many pets are putted down in shelter because they didn't find a good home in time. A puppy from a breeder has better chance to get good home and great life than a adult or puppy in shelter.
