Is it possible that you're overfeeding him?

Well it is parvo season. But there's no sense in guessing over the internet. Just be sure he continues to drink plenty of water between now and the time you take him to the vet tomorrow.

If the diarrea increases, contains blood and/or he starts vomiting or becomes depressed, don't wait until tomorrow. Take him to the Emergency Animal Clinic immediately.

Hope it's nothing serious. Let us know what the vet has to say.

Thank you. Lobo did have blood in his stools once last night and I have had trouble getting him to drink today. He was perky this morning and ate and no blood in watery stool, no vomiting today but after he eats, he runs to door an hour or so later and has diarreha. He's a lap dog and so he lays around on our laps normally. We have had 2 other dogs in the last 38 years. One lived to be 16 and the other 17. We never had health issues with either one and had never heard of parvo til we adopted Lobo from animal shelter 1 1/2 years ago. I should have taken him today!! I know that now. He will be going tonight if he doesn't perk up. Thanks again

If it's not parvo, it could be an allergy to his food. Have you tried changing foods?

took our lobo to the vet,his stool sample did now show anything ,he's been vacinated before for parvo,he was also much better today, the vet gave antibiotics and a bland mixture of food to feed 8oz./day with a 1/4 pill for 3 days,he also suggested lobo has us wrap around his finger, maybe we dote on to much, but we would be heart broken if anything happened to our baby. thanks for your help

Did they do any tests or blood work to give you a definite answer, or are they just chalking it up to a tummy ache for now?

I know with my Rotti he just has a very sensitive stomach. I can not change anything ever. His food and treats ALWAYS need to remain the same and when he starts to get sick, I give him Pepto Bismal and rice. Usually takes 2 or 3 days and then he is fine again. Sometimes they just get into things we do not know about and it upsets them.

I think it is your dogs food too!!! Because some foods are easy on dogs' stomachs and some foods are rough. Try feeding it wet food or a different kind!!
