Hey everybody! I just made up a great game to play with my dog and I thought I'd share it! My dog likes to "attack" (play biting, jumping on you-when I tell her "all done" she stops)when I'm underneath a blanket. Anyway, i thought that maybe I'd make a tunnel for her and teach her to go through it. I pulled two small, old couches together (with the backs facing inside the tunnel, and close enough that if one fell it wouldn't land on the dog, and would just hit the couch- that's IMPORTANT!!!!) and I tucked a blanket in to each of the couches so it went across the top of the two couches and stayed there. Well, Sadie (my golden) decided that she liked running through it and playing peek-a-boo. So we did that for a while. Then, i was hiding in the tunnel when I noticed that Sadie was gone! I was just about to come out and look for her when suddenly a great big shadow was above me on the blanket trying to chew on me! I came out, and there was Sadie, laying on the two blankets, floating between the two couches! So I hid in the tunnel again and I poked at the top of the blanket. Sadie had TONS of fun trying to get at me!! I'll try to get some pics to show you! Here are the pics: Sadie Playing Tunnel 1
AWWWWWW..how cute!!! And what a fun game to play! My dog Katie is crazy whenever I get home from work(she rides with me to work and is my working companion)..she starts going after our cats!!!! First, she tackles Buttercup, our 27+ pound cat and it's hilarious cause when he runs his backend looks like a racoon!! But that's cute with Sadie..looks like she's enjoying herself immensely with that blanket on top of the two couches.
Ya, she really loves playing Tunnel. What type of dog do you have Doggiegirl25? Is she bigger then your cat? lol, that would be cute to watch with them together. Sadie likes to chase our cat Callie, but she WILL NOT chase Patches I think they're friends, because when Sadie gets too close, sometimes he'll cry and they'll sniff noses and go on their way. lol
Thats so cute! My youngest dog likes tunnels, she runs under rugs and hides...when i say hides you can still see a huge lump in the middle of the rug!! haha. She also likes running under our duvets and pullin them off the beds which is quite naughty!
And b-lynn, my cat and dog have similar relationships. I have two cats and two dogs. My eldest dog and my eldest cat tend to keep themselves to themselves, and come to you for fuss when they want it.... My youngest cat and youngest dog charge around the garden and house taking it in turns to do the chasing. It is amusing to watch, they even lick each other to try and clean each other! Its very cute... If a little bit odd!
