Okay, my neighbors have to euthanize their dog THIS COMING MONDAY (Feb. 18, 2008) b/c of my other neighbor. My other neighbor, I'll only give first names, said that Richard's dog bit him (Jack) and she didn't. Our landlord asked everyone of his tenants if she is aggressive and we ALL said NO, that she wasn't. Well, he got a ticket for them to pay and he told them that they HAVE to get rid of her! They said they called everywhere, no literally, to see if anyone would take Gracie and her puppies but they all said no! Then they asked one shelter if they would euthanized an "aggressive" dog and they said no, and the same shelter said that they won't take any puppies b/c they'll die w/o their mother!! I don't want them to have to get rid of any of them. What do I do? My mom and I have been searching for hours for a no-kill shelter in Western KY, but with no such luck. Well, that would take them in anyway. And we also looked in other places in KY, but still no such luck. We're stumped.
Also, we're worried that Jack will do the same with our dog. But she won't EVER bite anyone!! What sould we do with both of our situations? Please, I'll do ANYTHING!!
I'am so sorry to hear that! pootlovesanimals,I live in southern ky and if I didn't have two big dogs at my fenced in house I would take them and if my mom and dad didnt care! and if my neighbors did'nt have dogs they would take them but they have four dogs. maybe if you will try again someone will take those poor dogs.I'am so sorry I really am! good luck!!!!-PackLeader2
Packleader2, Gracie is a purebred Pit bull, or pit bull related breed. Her puppies are "mutts". The father is a Saint Bernard Mix. And thanks, they need all of the luck they can get.
Angeeleeta, no, their is no bite mark on the neighbor. He did have to go to the hospital, but that was months after he started complaining. I think the only reason their euthanizing her is b/c their probably afraid that if they don't, they'll be kicked out. And I'll look into the laws asap.
Thanks for all of your suggestions!! But, do you know what I should do if the neighbor comes after our dog? She's an American Staffordshire Terrier if that helps.

Unless a police report is filed and the "bite victim" goes to the hospital for treatment of open wounds, the dogs will not be put down.
If the neighbor does put the dog down without any evidence it's probably more of them not wanting the hassle of the dog rather then trying to defend the dog rights, and their rights as dog owners.
Thanks everyone!! Here's what I know so far. They took her to the vets but came back home WITH her. Then, my mom and I came home from a doctor's appointment and saw her, and two men (one being her owner) in a truck. My brother said that he saw an unopened bag of dog food in the back. That, hopefully, means that they found her a home b/c her puppies will be weined soon, so...
He took Gracie to the vets but someone who worked their stopped him and reffered her friend to him. He and Gracie went to her house and she took her and the four puppies that were left. (She had five boys but one was bought)
