I'm so sorry. It is very hard. I'm so thankful I got to hold our Taz's head while he passed. I have his paw print from the vet and a beautiful poem. I keep his picture on a shelf and smile when I look at it. This post started a long time ago and I'm hoping you've had time to grieve and heal and hopfully another heart has found you by now and that emptiness is fading just a bit.
