The flight of the disc depending on the ground slopes and wind conditions and how these conditions affect a fast/far throw, or a slow, short throw.

first time i saw this show thats the first thing I thought... would be awesome/interesting to see Avery Jenkins and some of the other top distance guys bombing drives in slo-mo!!! Not to mention watching the spinning of the discs at the release and in flight.

That would be awesome!!!!! The physics behind this is incredible. The disc acts like a gyro. The speed of the release is insane. Catching it in slow-mo would be coooool. Wet the disc with a colored die to really see the dynamics. Or put a really light disc in the hands of a power thrower to see the disc flip. Or what really happens to the disc when a disc hits a tree at full speed. This must be done.

It is said that a disc comes out at over 100mph.
Its revolutions per minute has yet to be calculated.

Again, this would be a great one to do. The mechanics of the disc golf drive would lend themselves well to high speed video. Slowing it down to super slow mo would be amazing to see the snap that the pros get on a throw.

Check out the action of a cold disc as it impacts a tree, rocks, & the baskets. Come to the 3rd Annual J-Park Ice Bowl on Feb. 7th, 2009

The technique and physics involved in throwing a disc 500+ feet over level ground would be AWESOME to see in super slow-mo. For maximum distance, technique and speed at the point of release are more important than strength. To see for yourself, please visit www.paulmcbeth.com and watch his throwing videos (which are in slow-mo). Paul is small in stature, yet has won long distance contests agains the best in the world, including Avery Jenkins. These two players would be perfect for the show to compare the throwing techniques of a Strong player (Avery) vs. a smaller and more flexible player (Paul).

check out www.paulmcbeth.com

I have contact with both of these players if you need someone to help coordinate this segment?

It would be awesome to see how the disc distorts out of shape as it is ripped from the fingers at the point of release (aka "the snap").

I totally agree with the previous post.

I am down to do this show if given the opportunity because I believe that this would make for some amazing TV. I have won lots of Distance contests all over the country and throughout the world. I also have one of the longest throws (unofficial) ever measured.

Showing the Power and Technique of throwing a Disc(Frisbee) would make for a perfect "Time Warp" episode.

Check out lots of videos on YouTube and my personal site AveryJenkins7495.com

Thanks for your time.
