I started this earlier this week on the spoiler board so any that would like to go and read the postings are welcomed to.

I feel no one deserves a Memorial Board more than our Mozart.

RIP Princess of the Kalahari

I always cheered for Mozart because it was always her way or the highway, and 99% survived whatever the Kalahari threw at her, until that 1% came Frown

You are so right. Our Princess Mozart deserves a memorial page as did her mother our Queen Flower. It is so sad for Mozart she was the kindest of them all I think. She stayed with Shakes when he was sick and took care of Flowers pups and the rest of her family when they needed her. I guess we will still have our Mozart in the form of Sophie, she is just like Mozart and we will still have our Flower in the form of Rocket Dog she acts alot like Flower. I hope they lay Mozart to rest next to Flower. God Bless our little Princess and know that you will always be loved!

Good night sweet Mozart:

You birthed; you loved; you forgave; you fought as long as you could; and you are finally at rest.

Although you died alone, you are now surrounded by family and friends who welcome you Home!!

Good night sweet Mozart.

Although your struggles have ended on this earth, you will always be loved and remembered.

Good night sweet Mozart. R.I.P.

I agree that Mozart needs a Memorial too! I loved Princess Mozart and know that she is with her bloved mother, our Desert Rose, Flower. This season has been such a sad season. I had no clue we would lose Mozart tonight. I can't stop crying.

Although I've known of Mozart's passing for awhile, watching tonight's episode made it so horribly real. Despite that realization, I still can't believe she is REALLY gone. As each season ended I would wonder what would become of Mozart during the winter and as the season premieres for season 2 and 3 approached, my first thoughts would always be of Mozart. I would so look forward to watching her and hearing about how and what she was doing. I will continue to watch MM for as long as it is on and I already am looking forward to season 4, but it just will never be the same. I have high hopes for Rocket Dog and the rest and look forward to continuing to watch their stories, but it is so difficult knowing that Mozart's story has ended. They really must have needed a beautiful, sweet, angel to care for care for all the others on the other side.

YES! Our sweet Mozart deserves a Memorial..
I am devastated by her death.
The sweetest little girl in Meerkat Manor is gone.

Sweet Mozart:
You'll never cry in Heaven
there's no pain or sorrow there
In God's world, it is filled with joy
and perfect love to share
You'll have no fears in Heaven
for it's filled with only light
and darkness never comes again
not even in the night.

Sleep well Sweetheart.
Always in our hearts.

I agree, where is Mozart's Memorial page? If there was a Meerkat besides Flower who deserves one it would have to be Mozart! The sweetest princess! I will never forget her...

I love watching MM too, and I cry so hard when one of my favorite little Meerkats die. It tears me up. But some of you say some really ridiculous things, go home little princes, come on. I more want to know exactly how Mozart died, when, I can't remember how old she was, the tough little thing! They are amazing creatures and live an enormously tough life, their life span is not that long, they are going to die, it is life. I just want to talk more about the facts of these amazing little creatures, instead of talking about memorials and how busted up we all are. That goes without saying. I would love a chat forum about the facts of their amazing lives and what we don't see off camera. Thank you

I completely agree that Mozart deserves her own memorial page. This little meerkat was the sweetest and most caring of them all. Tonights episode torn me apart as I knew what was going to happen but I've watched Mozart grow up and vowed to stay with her until the end. I started crying the second Mozart appeared on the screen and haven't stopped yet. I will miss her terribly and will never forget her.

hi christy1970.

Welcome!

for lots of info, go to
www.kalahari-meerkats.com
and
friends.kalahari-meerkats.com

And just explore the threads. There are lots of old-timers that know so much. Lot of info at the
Spoilers, too.

It is awesome to learn more (not that i know much at all). Still, tonight is Mozart's night, and I wish AP would put up a memorial for her--it gives newcomers who are crying their eyes out a clear way to go. (and some of us , shoulders to cry on).

Welcome to the burrow!

YES MOZART DESERVES HER ON MEMORIAL PAGE.

She has always been my favorite mm and I can't believe she's gone. To me Flower was always the Queen and Mozart for the rose. Why did she have to have such a hard life? She deserved happiness like all the others.
She was the reason I watch the show hopeing one day she would find love and happiness and when it was about to happen. I think her and Wilson would have made a great pair. He looked so sad when he found her. I could feel the tears in his eyes.
Your with you babys now so you have a lot to smile about. I see them running up and putting their arms around you. That something your've wanted for a long time. Just to be loved.
We all love you and going to miss you so much, but I feel you finely found happiness so I'm happy for you.

Your #1 Fan

I just watched the episode where Mozart finally found a mate, lost him, then he found her dead. I'm devastated with this years episodes -what is this - everyone is dying. Will Zaphod be next? I can't watch more of this dying - there are people around watching this, couldn't they have saved Flower and Mozart?

I am absolutely livid and seriously considering not watching the show anymore. I think Mozart should have her own memorial and I sincerely hope that the humans that watched over this group buried her as they did with Flower.

Does anyone know what happens to Zaphod? What about the babies?

I believe that all life continues on in some way after this journey. I think there has to be something more. I never have been a real believer in the rigid, structural religions, but I have always had a sense that the death of the flesh did not equate to the death of existence, of consciousness.

With that said, I believe that even creatures such as Meerkats carry on. I have always believed this. And if any of this true, just imagine how wonderful Mozart, Flower, Shakespear, Carlos...how wonderful they all feel knowing that they had legions of people who actually cared about them! I don't know if the other life brings about awareness to animals who don't have it in this one, but I think we can take comfort in the fact that this little Meerkat WAS loved. By US! She may not have had a perfect life, but she would have been so content in the knowledge that there were, in fact, other creatures (you and I) who cared as much about her as we do our own family members. That is what I take solace in--the notion that Mozart was loved, and would be happy to know she was.

Her life was not lonely. We all followed along with her. She was never alone. Maybe now, in the next life, she knows it.

Mozart was always so sweet, so caring. She was always there for who needed her. She looked after Shakespeare when he was recovering from his injury, she was with Carlos, grooming him in his final hours, and Kinkajou as well. She was a good babysitter, and she always did her best to take care of and nurse the pups. She was a lovely little meerkat, brave and determined until the very end.

Rest in peace, sweet Mozart. We love you, miss you, and will always remember you.

Smile Thanks for the info trazom4 with the other meerkat websites Smile !! From the pictures on that site, seems the researchers are in alot of contact with the meerkats as they weigh them and even give them water. Couldn't they have saved Mozart and Flower?? I know they are supposed to be there to observe and research the meerkats, but it is just too hard to imagine that after they are closely following the meerkats that they couldn't have helped Flower and Mozart. It would be extremely difficult for me to be there and not help them if they were in trouble.......

I really hope Zaphod will not be the next to go. I don't think I could take it. Zaphod and Mitch are my remaining favorites from the early Whiskers. I hope they will be ok.......

dmpflowerfan,

if you can find the thread "back from the kmp," you will likely be happier about Flower. i don't remember the exact path right now, but it's somewhere on the main board, i think. As for Mozart, I'm sure that what was left of her was treated with love and respect. We know how attached we are, and we are investing our love in creatures we know only from the television. As strong as this can be, imagine the researchers and videographers who actually follow our sweet little friends around. I forget who said it, but it was someone close to the meerkats, and they said that regardless of whether Mozart's altruistic behavior was to benefit her or others, Mozart was one of, or the most, caring type meerkat they had seen. Same with Flower for her leadership qualities. I've been reminded time and again that Mozart was incredibly successful for a subordinate female--she is survived by 5 (i think) pups.

Not that it is any easier to deal with. I like to think that Mozart did know that Wilson was likely to return, maybe to start their own tribe--otherwise why would she be out in the moonlight waiting? Hopefully the end was quick and painless, so she died anticipating a new life. (heart breaks all over again.) Hang in there. as you can see, you're not alone.

meerkata, glad to see you on the main tribute board now. I'm wondering if there is anyway we can combine yours and cinderella's into one that we ask people to sign condolences to KMP & AP, like happened with Flower. That was a great way to bring everyone onto one board. Last i checked it was 20(+?) pages long.

Thanks to everyone who is posting. I feel better now, to see so many cared. i know there are tons of us out there--the Kalahari has lost its most tender of meerkats.
