So sad to have yet another beloved kat have a thread on the memorial board. So many lost loved ones.

Rocket Dog:

The first time I saw you was in season 3. I thought what a funny name for a Meerkat, Rocket Dog, but I instantly grew to love you. You were so brave taking on the role of DF when your mom disappeared. You tried so hard to have your pups and you did have 2 so now your legacy is secured. When you bowed your head down to your mom, when she came back to take over again, you really showed what a loving and incredible Meerkat you were. I will watch you in season 4 with much saddness knowing now that you are with your mom and all the others who have passed. This will really shed a somber note for me when I watch.

We will miss you always...Your time here was too short and you did not even reach your 5th birthday. We will remember to celebrate your birthday when it comes in June....

RIP dear RocketDog. I am very sad to hear this news. Some thought RD was too soft to be a DF but I believed otherwise. She had a great heart and from I read in one of Athena's post, RD was actually a great DF. How tragic for this little lady. She is with mom now and will frolick along on the other side.

Eeerrr..... I checked KMP, and it said nothing about sweet Rocket Dog being dead.

Your words to Rocket Dog, christopher9691 are so moving and loving. Who would have thoght you would have to write another goodbye letter so soon. My heart is heavy and I share in the sorrow everyone is feeling. So many people with the heart of a meerkat have been broken once again.

this is really devastating and I am so sad....

Not for one minute did I believe she was too "soft" to be DF. I thought she was young and inexperienced, but every inch Flower's and Zaph's daughter - a natural born leader. She stepped up to the plate when no one else would, then surrended it back to her Mom, and then stepped up again when no one would. She was a smart, beautiful, kind, loving DF and she was a shooting star that lit up the night sky all too briefly. Rest in Peace, beautiful little one.

For awhile, I hope this was untrue. I now I realize it is. Rocket Dog was very much like her mom and had the promise to with time be a great leader, I think. May she rest in peace...Of the "younger" generation of meerkats, she was my favorite. Both strong & tender...I also loved the tribute that Christopher9691 gave RocketDog...

If you want to know who has taken leadership in the absence of Rocket Dog, you can go to the spoiler board. But if you don't want to risk learning more than you want to know right now, then think back to the end of season 4; which female took charge and finished the work of saving the pups when Rocket could go no further? Sophie was the oldest,strongest and bravest of the subordinates in the group, as Rocket Dog was when Flower left us.

i dont like rocketdog but i was still sad when i heard she was gone.

I loved Rocket Dog from the moment I met her, the very first episode of Season 3 when she was grooming Flower.
