Before the foundation of the world was formed, this is what GOD said to Flower:

Chapter 1, Verse 21: And GOD created great whales, and every living creature that moveth...

Verse 22: And GOD blessed them, saying, be fruitful and multiply...

Verse 24: And GOD said, let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind; and it was so.

Verse 25: And GOD made the beast of the earth after its kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind; and GOD saw that it was good.

Verse 31: And GOD saw every thing that he had made, and, behold it was very good. And the evening and morning were the sixth day!

GOD commanded everything he created, included man, to be fruitful and multiply. Flower did just that. Unfortunately, my favorite episode, one among many, was her last where she adopted a Zappa pup that had been stranded; unheard of in Meerkat "life". It just goes to show us that even animals can love their enemies. Just as GOD loved us and adopted us into his royal family thereby keeping the human species going, Flower not only had her own litter, but as a testament to her faithfulness, not only her family but to the continuance of the Meerkat species every where, she adopts a helpless pup from the enemy camp. Hooray to Flower for she has gone back to the One who created her for her final rest!!! Good job Flower, good job!

That is a beautiful tribute to the beautiful Queen of the Kalahari, Flower. As a devout and knowledgeable Christian, I have had more than one disagreement with hardliners who think they know everything. I truly believe that there are animals in the next life. God created them and knows when one sparrow falls to the ground. He loves them so why wouldn't He want them in Heaven? I look forward to being surrounded by all my pets who have gone on as well as Flower and Shakespeare and the other precious creatures that have gone from this world.

Love to you, Flower, in Meercat Heaven,

thank you maraleah, i too am a christian and have been told by pastors that there are no animals in heaven because they do not have a soul and therefore cannot make a decision to follow Christ. i am so dismayed by them, i agree with you, if God knows when a sparrow falls, then He must care for them. If heaven is so much better than earth, why wouldn't animals be there too, only all getting along, no longer hunting or suffering. thanks for encouraging me this evening, i could not watch the show this evening.

You are right 145krz:

But I have heard pastors say that since animals
have no souls, they have no way of choosing Christ.
My pastor did believe that there will be animals in heaven and here's why:

I'm sure you know these verses of scriptures but here is a quick overview for those who are on the fence about whether there are animals in heaven.

Genesis chapter 2; verses 18-20: I will paraphrase.

After GOD finished forming the Garden of Eden and put Adam in there, he then scooped up the earth and formed every beast of the field, fowl of the air and creature of the sea and gave Adam the charge to name them whatever he wanted to name them.

Remember in the Garden, there was no sin before the fall of man. So these animals ate of the earth and not each other. GOD did not want man to be alone so he created the animals for his enjoyment. And then he created Eve to help him take care of the earth, subdue it, and all the animals were subject to whatever the first man and lady wanted.

GOD also created the garden as a mirror of what his
heavenly garden; just like he commanded the Hebrews to build the temple according to a specific schematic of the heavenly temple.

The animals of the earth were cursed like everything else after the fall of man and that's why they kill and eat each other, for survival. But in the beginning, that was not the intent of animals. They didn't need to have a soul, just like man's soul was not needed in the garden until "after the fall of man". He was able to walk and talk with GOD because he was part of GOD. Then when Adam and Eve sinned, they realized they were naked and covered themselves. They didn't know they were naked before the fall. So after Christ returns, everything will go back to the way it was intended to be from the foundation of the world. GOD, man and animal. HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!

These forums are so confusing, but I'm here now. Never did I expect to be so attached to a little animal a hemisphere away. I had no idea Flower died, and I'm still shocked. I know Meerkats don't live forever and nature has its way of striking a balance but I'm still so sad at Flower's death. There were thousands just like her before, and there will be thousands just like after. Keeping that perspective I'll be just fine. But, as a 38 year old man I cried. No one in my life knows I cried, but I did. I love these animals, rest in peace my furry little friend. You were larger than your small stature could ever indicate.
